Endorsements and sponsors Martina's acclaimed results brought her recognition in her home country as well as in the world-wide swimming community. In the US, after graduating from Southern Methodist University, she signed her first professional contract with TYR Sports, a well known swimming brand. Martina promoted the brand of TYR Sports and  wore their gear for 8 years until 2008.
